MARIUPOL, UKRAINE - SEPTEMBER 1, 2015: First-year students at School 68 arrive for an assembly to welcome them on the first day of the new school year in Mariupol, Ukraine. On January 24 of this year, shelling in the same neighborhood killed 31 people, all civilians, and while much recent fighting has been concentrated near Mariupol, a drop in ceasefire violations in the past few days has been credited to a desire to not interfere with the start of the new school year.
