Juan Ignacio Hernandez Nodar, a Cuban-born American agent for prospective Major League Baseball players, spent 13 years in a Cuban prison for helping players to defect from the Cuban national team, where he was treated as Fidel Castro's personal prisoner. After his release in November 2009, he has set up shop in the Dominican Republic, and is once again working to connect talented players with Major League teams in the most baseball-crazed country in the Caribbean.
