About Brendan Hoffman
Brendan Hoffman is a freelance photojournalist and co-founder of Prime Collective. He took up photography in 2006 after spending several years working on energy policy for a non-profit organization. Based in Washington, DC, he regularly covers Capitol Hill and the White House for a variety of clients, and has undertaken projects in Haiti, Azerbaijan, Russia, Mexico, and the United States. His photographs have appeared in Time, Newsweek, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Economist, USA Today, der Spiegel, the Financial Times, the International Herald Tribune, and a number of other outlets.
Recent awards include the second place feature story in the 2011 White House News Photographers Association "Eyes of History" contest; being selected as a student at the 2009 Eddie Adams Workshop, and selection as a finalist in 2008 for the first grant under the David Alan Harvey Fund for Emerging Photographers.
